Rustic Prop Hire – The Collection Photoshoot
So Im still recovering from Monday’s epically long day styling and shooting our beautiful collection of prop hire and furniture pieces for the soon-to-be-launched website.
Beautiful day for it, well it stayed dry which when you’re working on a farm is important. Mud plus white is a bad combination especially when you’re dealing with beautiful old vintage fabrics.
We’d spent the best part of 3 days painting the old pig barn on the farm, transforming it into a beautiful white rustic studio. Even managed to rope in my niece for some extra help, poor love!
So one day to shoot near to 100 prop hire items in varying sizes; from our beautiful 7ft high French louvre shutter doors, our gorgeous reclaimed and mismatched chairs, pallet lounges and so much more. All whilst I was battling a bad cold so tissues were stocked up galore in the back pocket.
Now take note people, I’m going to reveal the un-glam side of running a rustic prop hire business here. Lugging furniture, lifting heavy barrels, moving tables, chairs, cleaning and polishing brass then of course the all important tea runs (thanks to Ma Wren for the endless amounts of tea…) This type of work can be absolutely exhausting. Luckily with 15 years event design and planning under my belt I think I’m immune to it or maybe it’s years of practice? Either way this was my daily workout sorted!
We managed to get it all done just as it was going dark so phew we just about did it. Here’s a preview of some of the shots from the day shooting our rustic prop hire pieces. These will be posted onto the website shortly, oooooh exciting times!
